WHAT IS GIRLS IN AVIATION DAY?
Girls in Aviation Day is an international celebration that is meant to inspire girl's interest in aviation. Since the very first Women in Aviation International Girls in Aviation Day in 2015, the annual WAI event has grown and now is hosted in 165 locations, including nearly 50 international locations!
WAI Great Salt Lake hosts a free annual GIAD event for girls to learn about aviation and STEM and introduce them to a variety of recreational and professional opportunities in the aviation community. The event is geared toward girls ages 8-17 but is open to the public and welcomes participants of all ages!
